This is so disgustingly wrong, I have to reblog to address it.
1) Um, what? Why do men want to change women’s last names? I’m not planning on taking my husband’s last name if I ever get married. It’s a ridiculous cultural tradition that stems from the concept of wives literally being their husband’s possessions, thus needing to take his on his last name as ‘ownership’ of the woman. If women want to change their last names because they want to, that’s fine. But ultimately it’s the woman’s choice, isn’t it? Men shouldn’t have any input on that decision.
2) Why should a man want to change where I live? A man should be willing to relocate where he lives if he truly loves me wants to be with me, and not want to try to change where I live. That’s another aspect of ownership. Get out.
3) Point of view on men? Why should a man want to change a woman’s point of view on men? If she likes men, then she’ll like you. If she doesn’t like men, you shouldn’t want to change her.
Actually, men shouldn’t try to change women. At all. And men shouldn’t either. The only healthy relationships are the ones where everyone aspects their partners for whoever they are and not try to change them. Period.
